Abstract
Objectives: The purpose of this study is to examine intervention studies for female problem drinkers conducted in Korea through an integrated literature review, and to suggest key factors necessary for developing an intervention program related to female problem drinkers in Korea in the future.

Methods: In this study, interventions for female problem drinkers conducted in Korea were searched, and an integrated literature review was performed on all studies published at home and abroad. The criteria for the selection of the literature for the study were the literature suggesting the intervention method in detail as an intervention study targeting female problem drinkers. Studies that did not target female problem drinkers or Koreans were excluded. Key factors were extracted by reviewing and analyzing 12 studies finally selected through the above criteria.

Results: There was a difference in the intervention period according to the severity of the problem drinking. A simple intervention was also effective for young female problem drinkers. On the other hand, in-depth and repeated interventions were effective for subjects diagnosed with alcohol use disorder and receiving hospitalization or outpatient treatment. For the stage of problem recognition, information on negative consequences of problem drinking must provide. The intervention provider must be an expert in the interventions they have performed for them to be effective. Interventions for female problem drinkers should include self-reinforcement.

Conclusion: To overcome problem drinking for women, a correct self-reflection process was needed through self-recognition process, breaking away from the stereotype of the gender role of problem drinking women. The traditional family-centralism in Korea was a hindrance to problem-drinking women in solving their drinking problems, and self-reinforcement training helped them to solve the problem drinking problem.
